The Inmate Union is available to nearly 30,000 inmates within the Nevada Department of Corrections (NDOC). We work for inmates assisting them with grievances against the NDOC to advocate for their rights and raise their standards of living assisting in their successful rehabilitation back to the community.
I was at Southern desert when I was transferred. The guards broke my tablet but when I complained in a kite they refuse to replace it. I contacted a representative of the InmateUnion.com and within weeks my grievance was approved and in DLC refunded me $110 for my tablet thanks to InmateUnion.com.
After I was sent to NDOC I needed to be able to have things taken care of on the outside. I contacted the representatives from the Republican chamber of commerce's inmateunion.com and within a week they showed me how to get a power of attorney and it didn't need a notary because of my incarceration by Nevada law.
For almost a year they told me that I was not able to go to Casa Grande program. I contacted a representative of the Inmateunion.com and they directed me to the administrative rules and showed me how to grieve it. Within 2 weeks I was approved to leave prison and go to Casa Grande. Forget the caseworkers, people should join the inmateunion.com at the Republican Chamber of commerce.
I kept getting the runaround by the case workers in NDOC when I asked about my qualifications for the house arrest. I contacted the inmateunion.com and they directed me to the administrative regulations and within a few weeks I was able to go home on the Residential Confinement program thanks to the Inmateunion.com rep. It's worth the membership.
